Ceiling of a makeshift igloo, created by one of the expedition crew (not of true Inuit or Inupiat origin).
Landscape of icebergs, frozen sea, and Snow Hill Island vaguely in the distance. Snow Hill Island, Antarctica.
Lone penguin standing at the ice edge at dusk, observing for lurking predators at the water's edge. More typically, a large group of penguins go as a group to minimize danger. This penguin must have been pretty hungry, as it waited merely 10-15 minutes before diving in.
