2011-03-06. Heard that there was a bunch of Emperor Penguins right outside of Scott Base, and per invite from the medic there, went to scope out the scene. However, the penguins were in the water already when we reached there, and were not as photogenic when they look like cold loons. The open water in front of the base was amazing, and the calm waters made for beautiful reflections.
